Safer Futures Hosts 7th Annual Hope In A Handbag on Saturday, October 7th

Safer Futures, Portage County’s only Domestic Violence Shelter, will be hosting the 7th annual Hope in a Handbag fundraiser on Saturday, October 7th from 7:oo p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at The Overlook in Twin Lakes. The event will once again feature a silent auction including an array of new and gently used handbags, purses, and clutches. Many of the donated items include high-fashion designer bags to classic vintage bags.

Included in this year’s array of purses, we have Chanel, Coach, Dooney & Bourke, Liz Claiborne, Michael Kors, Prada, Vera Bradley, Simply Vera Wang and many more!

Available for raffle will be several gift baskets. This year Safer Future’s hopes to raise $20,000 which will be used to assist families seeking services and to continue making improvements to the shelter for our families to enjoy.

Safer Futures is still accepting purse donations for the event. If you have a new or gently used high fashion or designer handbag that you would like to donate, please drop it off at 705 Oakwood St, Suite 221, Ravenna. We are also still seeking sponsors for the event. Sponsoring includes varying numbers of free tickets to the event depending on the level of sponsorship selected. Tickets for the event are $35.00 per person. Reservations can be made by calling Safer Futures at 330.673.2500 or through Safer Futures Hope In A Handbag 2017 space is limited to the first 200 tickets sold.
