Geauga County Board of Developmental Disabilities to Hold 13th Annual Metzenbaum Center Golf Outing
June 23 @ 1:00 pm - 8:00 pm$100.00
In conjunction with Maple Leaf Community Residences, the Geauga County Board of Developmental Disabilities (GCBDD) will host its 13th Annual Metzenbaum Center Golf Outing on Saturday, June 23rd, at the Wicked Woods Golf Course in Newbury, Ohio beginning at 1:00 p.m. The Maple Leaf Community Residences helps to organize this event and is currently looking for sponsors in support of the cause.
“The golf outing is one of the most important and popular events of the year, as proceeds from the event are used to support the Metzenbaum Center,” said Superintendent Don Rice. “We can assure every participant that the day will include plenty of opportunities for fun, food and golfing all while supporting a meaningful cause.”
In the past, the event has included a 50/50 raffle, a hole-in-one contest, a drawing for door prizes and competition holes for golfers. Sponsorships are available and must be secured by June 4th. The following sponsorships are available:
- Hole Sponsorship: $600 – includes hole signage flag, recognition in the program, golf, carts and dinner for four
- Competitive Sponsorship: $300 – donation will be used to purchase advertisement, the winning gift and several other gifts for competition hole winners
- Beverage Sponsorship: $300 – includes recognition in the program and donation will be used to purchase event beverages
- Flag Sponsorship: $200 – includes hole signage and recognition in the program
For golfers, registration is $100 per athlete and includes golf, cart, dinner and eligibility for prizes. If you are an individual golfer and do not have a group of four, you will be matched with other golfers to create a four-person team. For dinner only, the cost is $40 per person. All participants must register by June 18th.
The Golf Outing is used as a means to support GCBDD and its efforts to provide many services to individuals with developmental disabilities living in Geauga County, including the housing services provided by Maple Leaf Community Residences.
“Our golf outing offers both great golfing, access to community members and the opportunity to support individuals with developmental disabilities,” said Rice. “Please consider sponsoring or participating in this important event.”
