You may have been coming to Lowe’s Greenhouse for years, but you have never experienced it like this. Lowe’s is celebrating spring, the new Wild Thistle Gift Shop, and 90 years of business during a three-day celebration from April 22 – 24.
Lowe’s Greenhouse is no stranger to the celebration of spring. However, this spring is different. Jeff Griff, owner, states, “As we celebrate the coming of spring, as always, this year we have the trifecta. This is a kind of grand re-opening for our spring customers.” He continued, “This spring open house is one of those events where our focus is not to sell but to give the community an opportunity to bring their friends and spend time together.”
If you haven’t been to Lowe’s Greenhouse in a couple of years, this is the perfect opportunity to check in and see the changes. The greenhouse has grown and adopted a new parking lot, new entryway, a new store. But, Griff explains, “The history is still here.”
This three-day celebration begins Friday, April 22, at 9 a.m. with sales that will span the entire weekend. Some of these sales include “buy two get one free” sales on a variety of items and 20 percent off in the new Wild Thistle Gift Shop. Then, at 5 p.m., feel free to bring your family and indulge in delicious food from a food truck and ice cold draught beer – the makings of a casual community get-together.
On Saturday, Griff himself will be working the grill for a BBQ lunch and dinner will be provided by Cleveland Field Kitchen. This pop-up dinner features a farm-to-table four-course meal served from 6:30-10 p.m. Tickets for this event can be purchased here. The meal and drink pairings are inspired by the season.
Lastly, on Sunday, Mazzulo’s will be catering a brunch, complete with a bloody Mary bar to wrap up the weekend’s festivities.
When asked about the nature of this three-day event, Griff explained, “We really want to be the place that people come to not just to buy flowers and plants but to see their friends and be with one another.” Though, as previously mentioned, this event does not lack killer sales.
Lowe’s Greenhouse has undergone many changes, but still holds its history close to its heart. This is the perfect opportunity to share in the 90 years of service Lowe’s has provided the community – and enter drawings for $90 gift cards to celebrate each successful year it has been in business.
