The students in the 21st Century After-School Program partnered with students in the Builders Club of Brown Middle School in Ravenna to make and donate 20 fleece blankets to Akron Children’s Hospital in December.
Along with each blanket, the patients received student-made cards explaining who made the blankets and wishing the recipients a speedy recovery.
They were delivered to the hospital over winter break. The children were pleasantly surprised to receive so many blankets.
