Join Executive Director Christine Craycroft on August 2 at 1:00 p.m. for a hike to explore our newest property that’s not yet open regularly, and help to plan for its future. This beautiful 145 natural area will include horse riding and hiking trails, with other possibilities. It is located on Beery Road, Ravenna Township.

Walter Preserve
Join Executive Director Christine Craycroft on August 9 at 1:00 p.m. for a hike to explore this 80-acre historic property that’s not usually open to the public, and help plan for its future development. Park at the Township Park on SR 225, just south of SR 18, Palmyra Township.
Breakneck Creek Preserve
Join Executive Director Christine Craycroft on August 16 at 1:00 p.m. for a hike to explore this 63-acre historic property with Breakneck Creek meandering through its north side and a very active beaver colony. It’s not usually open to the public, but it has great potential. This is a great opportunity to give us your thoughts on future park development. It is located at 5795 Lakewood Road, Ravenna Township.
Butterfly Hike @ Towner’s Woods
Join members of the local chapter of the North American Butterfly Association on August 23 at 10:00 a.m. as we encounter all kinds of butterflies, moths, dragonflies and lots of other natural wonders. Bring your insect net if you have one!

We’ve had this 58-acre property available for limited scout camping, but it still needs a lot of improvement, and has great potential.
