
Presented by Aurora Parks and Recreation and Freedom Greyhound Rescue, the Fall Family Fin Fest & Bark BOOnanza will take place on Saturday, Sept. 26, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Sunny Lake Park, 885 Mennonite Road, Aurora.
This event will be fun for the entire family and admission is free! Enjoy inflatables, hayrides, pony rides, games, raffles, concessions and much more. (Fees required for some activities.)
Don’t forget to pack the family pooch in the van on your way to this event. Take your dog trick-or-treating at the Bark BOOnanza. Registration for this event is from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. A costume contest will take place right as registration closes, at 12:30 p.m. The categories for the doggie costume contest are:
- Scariest
- Funniest
- Creative
The categories for the Owners & Dogs costume contest are:
- Look-a-Like
- Best Costume
Doggie trick-or-treating (1.75 mile walk) immediately follows the costume contest. The cost to register for the trick-or-treating event is $6/dog. The first 100 dogs to be registered for this event will receive BOO treat bags!
You and your pooch will also have the opportunity to visit with dog rescues and vendors. Further dog contests will begin at 2:30 p.m. Categories for these contests incude:
- Longest tail
- Shortest tail
- Prettiest eyes
- Best trick
There will be prizes awarded to winners!
