If you have never been to this incredible double take event, you’re really cheating yourself out of something totally unique and memorable. You’ll feel like you just walked into another world – a world of clones perhaps, or a fantasy world from the pages of a best-seller. You’ll check your eyes and blink and clean your glasses. It’s an amazing experience and a must attend event for the whole family! There is no other twins event like this in the world! Twins and tourists come from all over the globe to see the 2,000 – 3,000 sets of twins that participate in this famous gathering. And it’s right here in Northeast Ohio!
From 1976 when Twins Day had its unknown-at-that-time beginning, until today, enthusiasm grows each year as well as the number of activities and family centered fun. Here’s a brief summary of what the weekend holds. To view the entire event schedule click HERE.
Live entertainment will be going on throughout the weekend and includes Aaron Bonk (juggler), a Twins Talent Show, Nate Puppets, Sight-n-Sound (band), Drew Murray (magician), Tony Petra (singer), and The Focus Group (Band).
Admission to the grounds for the public, non-registered twins, and families of registered twins is $4.00/person per day (children 5 & under can enter for free). Public parking is available at the Twinsburg High School, located at 10084 Ravenna Road across the street from the festival grounds for $3/day. Shuttles will be running all day.
Saturday, August 3:
9:00 a.m. Double take Parade — leaves from the town square down Ravenna Road to the festival site. Any registered twins may participate in the parade.
12:30 p.m. – Twins Contest
1:00 & 3:45 p.m. – Twins Talent Show
5:30 p.m. – begins evening live entertainment
Fireworks at dusk!
Sunday, August 4:
(pancake breakfast was canceled this year)
8:30 a.m. 5K race – benefitting the Melanoma Research Foundation (Dodge Middle School)
12:30 p.m. – Twins Contests begin in the Perici Ampitheatre, back through the woods
1:00 p.m. – Twins Talent Show
Twins contests and shows require registration of twins before entering.
