The original business began back in the 70s with Brent’s father who bought the land for a gas station and repair facility. “After working with my father for several years, I bought the business from him in 1999,” says Brent. “We did away with the gas part of it as it became unprofitable and took away too much time from the repair part.”
As an ASE certified business, Johnson’s three employees, all of whom have worked there for 10 plus years, attend schools and seminars regularly to keep up on the rapidly changing technology. “When techs are ASE certified, it means they have taken the time to be professionals in their career field. It is a commitment, a set of industry standards to follow,” says Brent. “We perform about all car maintenance, but we specialize in electrical and performance issues. Our favorite work is “check engine light” diagnostics. We also perform e-check at our facility and e-check repairs.”
Though we may not like it, winter is on its way, and we all know what Northeast Ohio can dole out without even letting the weatherman know! Are you ready for those days? Brent has some advice to make sure you are. “The biggest mistake people make during winter is driving on tires that are not in good enough shape for winters in Ohio. We see accidents every year from people driving with sub par tires. Also make sure wiper blades, batteries, and heaters are all up to snuff.”
