The Villager – After over 25 years of dedicated service, Sharon Foy, Purchasing Manager of the Portage County District Library, has announced her retirement. Foy will retire from her position at the end of April.
Having started her career at the Portage County District Library in 1988 working part-time in the Technical Services department, Foy soon became the Purchasing Manager. In her many years at the Portage County District Library, Foy has held an integral role in the development of several projects. Most notable has been being in charge of managing the daily operations of the facilities at the Garrettsville Library, a branch of the Portage County District Library. And what does she have planned for her retirement? “Good question! I hope to do some traveling.”
