Dussel Farms

As of the September 27, the Dussel Farms pumpkin patch is open! Through the end of October you’ll find not only many sizes of pumpkins, but also fresh gourds, straw bales, dried corn stalks, colorful Indian corn, fresh apples, cider, and many other fall decorations.

A fun themed corn maze also awaits you. Lots of work in this! Sure to be a hit with all LeBron fans.

Dussel Corn Maze

The maze spans over 5 acres and is cut using GPS equipment. Bring your boots and a cell phone…just in case.

There are many entertaining displays in the outdoor sales area including a “Haunted Bus” and a free tent-maze for children. On the weekends they will have face painting, caramel apples, kettle corn, and more pumpkins! Bring your camera and enjoy the view!

Dussel-pumpkinsDussel Farm Tours

Teachers, bring your students to Dussel Farm for a first-hand look at the farm’s role in food production and soil conservation. For twenty years they have been hosting field trips from mid-September through October and strive for enjoyment as well as education. Their walking field tours include an educational session about soybeans, a walk and talk through a corn field, and the highlight of the trip is the pumpkin field tour. The children receive a coloring book, crayons, and soy nuts. They pick an ear of corn for the wild backyard animals, and… of course… a small pumpkin to carry home!

Guyette Farms

Guyette Farms has been in operation since 1945. It is currently run by Larry, the third generation farmer and they sell hay, straw, ear corn, shelled corn, oats, hormone-free beef, honey and maple syrup. A few years ago they added a corn maze which they are having a lot of fun with!
The maze is designed and cut by hand. The website says:

“We try to design a maze that is both short enough for families with small children and yet challenging enough for avid maze enthusiasts. We offer several exits throughout the maze so that when you and your family have ‘had enough’ you can escape. Each guest is provided a map to help with navigation. Throughout the maze, you will find checkpoints to help you locate where you are and to provide you with interesting facts.”

You’ll also find several other activities for the kids (and adults) to enjoy including a round bale obstacle course with over 150 bales, tunnels, ropes, and a playhouse built right in; a corn box with a slide; hayrides; and of course a pumpkin patch!
