It’s Christmas cookie time, the time of year to bring together the ladies (and gents) and get your bake on! Over the next few weeks, leading up to Christmas, we’re going to be sharing several of our personal, favorite Christmas cookie recipes to add to your family’s collection. Santa will surely be happy this year with all of his cookie choices!

Buckeyes are my absolute favorite Christmas cookie and always take me back to being a kid, when I would sneak them out of my aunt’s kitchen. The perfect combination of chocolate and peanut butter, resembling a buckeye exactly, these cookies are (in my opinion) the ultimate Ohio Christmas cookie.
Ingredients:
1 (12 oz jar) creamy peanut butter
16 oz bag of powdered sugar
2 sticks softened butter
12 ox bag semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
Combine peanut butter, powdered sugar and butter in a bowl. Mix well. Form mixture into small, round balls and allow to chill.
Use a double boiler to melt chocolate chips
Use a toothpick to dip each ball into the melted chocolate, cover ¾ of the ball, leaving a small round eye, at the top. Cool atop wax paper.
