KSU-restore-show1The 5th Annual Habitat For Humanity ReStore the Runway Fashion Show will take place this year on December 7 at 8 p.m. If you are one of those students enrolled in the College of the Arts with a wildly vivid imagination that’s aching to be let loose with your design line – this is the show where you can take your design to the stage. Don’t miss it!

The purpose of the show is to create a reconstructed garment, using materials that may come from thrift stores or the Habitat ReStore. By collecting your materials from the Habitat ReStore or another thrift store, you have the opportunity to let the world see what’s going on in your mind with regards to your latest dreamy fashion designs and then model them – or have someone else do so. Use of dyes, paints, markers, etc are accepted to add to the cool factor – just make sure they’re dry! For those of you go-getters, you may submit up to two designs, so better get started if you have not already!

Aside from the obvious entertainment value for those who attend, proceeds will go toward building houses in Portage County and the Habitat for Humanity Restore store in Kent.

Find the full list of rules and registration HERE.

The deadline to register is Tuesday, November 26 by 11:59 p.m.

Doors open at 7 p.m and shows starts at 8 p.m. in the KSU Student Center Ballroom. A mandatory rehearsal is Friday, December 6 at 9 p.m. in the KSC Ballroom where judging will take place that night.
