The Villager – Robinson Memorial Hospital’s Health Education Center and PARTA Regional Transport has partnered together for Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month.

Colorectal Cancer is the third leading cancer killer in the U.S. and can be found early with testing, when treatment is most effective. Throughout the month of March, PARTA buses will be displaying posters with facts and information about colorectal cancer, with thanks to Frank Hairston, PARTA Marketing Director.

The month’s awareness efforts will finish with a free event on Tuesday, March 25, at Robinson Memorial Hospital from 5 to 6 p.m. by Dr. John Gusz of Portage Surgical Associates Inc. Free Fecal Immunochemical Test kits will be given to the first 30 people registered.

For more information or to register, call Robinson Memorial Hospital’s Health Education Center at (330) 297-2576.
