Garrettsville Summerfest will be here before you know it!
Due to the the grievous loss of so much of the Historic District this March, this year’s theme will reflect the community’s dedication to rebuild. Proceeds from Summerfest 10 will be donated to the ‘Garrettsville Strong’ fund established by the Garrettsville Area Chamber of Commerce.
Summerfest is the largest summer celebration in Portage county, Ohio. June 27-29, 2014 will feature outstanding live entertainment, and of course all the rides, games, festival food, eating contests, dance competition, pet idol competition – and the famous Garrettsville Idol Competition!
In fact, the semi final idol show is this weekend, May 18 beginning at 4 pm at James A. Garfierld High School. You won’t want to miss this. More people entered this year’s competition than they have had in several years, so you’ll be wowed by the talent on display this Sunday.
Those who make the cut will be in the finals presented on stage, June 29, during the festival. Tickets are only $3.00. What a fun way to spend your Sunday evening!
