Many have come to know and love Chief Ed Samec of the Hiram Police Department. His commitment to the people of the community is demonstrated throughout the year by his initiation of and participation in the many events they host. No doubt, he would be quick to recognize all the officers in the department who are on board as well.

They are the leaders of what he calls Team Hiram. Team Hiram is the equivalent of what is written on the Great Seal of the United States: E Pluribus Unum, ‘one out of many.’ Many residents, government officials, businesses and organizations unite for the purpose of a greater good – to serve others. It’s what makes Hiram a strong village, a place one wants to be and raise their family. The community programs are a success because of Team Hiram.

One of these now annual events is taking place on September 6: the Hot Rod Car Show which benefits the “Shop with a Cop” program. Last year this event raised $860.00. Music played, lots of food was devoured by all, families came together with friends joining them, and trophies were handed out in many categories to hot rod owners. Great fun for all!

Don’t miss this year! It’s sure to be bigger and better and even more fun! Come out and support another fantastic Team Hiram event!
