Hero’s Rock, the non-profit program created by Scott and Trish Snyder of Trott Wood Creations in 2011, is based out of Mantua, Ohio. Hero’s Rock builds tribute rockers for the children of fallen heroes in an effort to show our nation’s appreciation for those who serve and protect the freedoms we all enjoy. The charity was on temporary status until sufficient documentation of their charitable deeds warranted an official status upgrade.

This is a huge milestone for Hero’s Rock, this will be a big boost for the charity as now all donations are tax deductible. This will encourage more donors, businesses, and organizations to support the work they do.

Hero’s Rock is also pleased to announce a new program, The Patriotic Pony Pledge. Help us make a wish come true! Our goal is to fulfill the wish of our first Hero’s wife….to have a rocker in every Fisher House.

When a wounded warrior comes home, his family shares the journey of recovery. It is often a long and tedious journey. The Fisher House provides free housing for families of wounded warriors. With that in mind, Hero’s Rock has created the “Patriotic Pony,” pledging this nation’s love and support to our wounded warriors and their families.

These handmade “Patriotic Ponies” will be a special design. The ponies will be white, adorned with red and blue hand prints of caring people from across the nation sending their love and support to our military families. Each one will include the laser portrait of a fallen hero in the saddle stirrups.

There are currently 64 Fisher Houses across the nation. Twenty seven are regularly visited by children. We want to make 27 “Patriotic Ponies,” one for each Fisher House, spanning from Maryland to California to provide some joy to the children whose families are visiting.

We are looking for approximately nine organizations; church groups, VFWs, high schools, knitting groups, businesses, or corporations to sponsor one set of three ponies. Each sponsoring group will select up to three local fallen heroes for the laser portraits along with taking part in the actual decoration of their set of ponies.
