We’re pleased to announce the recent appointment of Deborah Petrone by Probate Court Judge Thomas Carnes as the newest Park District Commissioner.

Debbie has over 30 years of experience as a Certified Public Accountant who specializes in estate and trust taxation. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and Master of Taxation, and is currently a principal of Schlabig and Associates.
She serves on the Board of Trustees for Robinson Memorial Hospital, the Ravenna Chamber of Commerce, and is a member of the President’s Club at Kent State University. Debbie’s extensive travels have taken her to five continents, but Portage County still has special appeal.
“I love our parks and trails, and walk and bike them regularly with friends and my husband Dave. It’s so important that we conserve our natural treasures and create parks while we have the opportunity; it’s a legacy to leave that we can all be proud of.”, says Debbie.
Debbie will serve an unpaid term through 2018, and join four other commissioners who make up the governing body of the Park District. Her business and finance acumen will serve the Park District well as we move into our next phase of growth and development.
Welcome aboard Debbie!
