PN April Fools jokes

It’s mid-March, which means April Fools’ Day is right around the corner. Everyone loves a good April Fools’ joke, but they can be so hard to come up with.

Here are some flawless practical jokes that are perfect for pulling on someone you love.

The switcheroo

Parents who have a bit of a wicked side will love this one. All that is needed is multiple children who each have their own bedroom. After the kiddos have fallen asleep, creep into their bedrooms and put each one in the other’s bed. The payoff is the look on their faces in the morning when they wake up. It is absolutely priceless. Plus, you’ll be giving them an experience they’ll relay to their friends for years and likely turn around and pull off on your grandchildren as well. Nothing says love like the prank that keeps on living!

One for the 21st Century

One of the best aspects of April Fools’ jokes is that they keep up with the times. Since we’re living in a Social Media fueled world, bring Facebook into the mix. On your Facebook profile, change your birthday to April 1. All day long you can watch the birthday greeting and well wishes come in. You can even keep a tally of the number of people who make comments such as “I didn’t realize today was your birthday!” At the end of the day, be sure to post as your status “April Fools!” Then, sit back and watch the reactions.

Dessert anyone?

There’s no better way to end a good meal than with the perfect ice cream sundae. The cold creamy ice cream and warm caramel sauce is the perfect capper to the perfect meal. On April Fools’ Day, be sure to make that perfect meal for your sweetheart and pull out all the stops. Just when your honey is basking in the afterglow of dinner, serve up a delicious ice cream sundae and watch the reaction as he realizes he’s just taken in a mouthful of cold mashed potatoes and gravy.

Coming clean

This prank is all in good clean fun, but it takes a little bit of prep work. Take a bar of soap and paint it with some clean nail polish. Make sure it is completely covered. Let it dry completely. Once it’s dry, put it out for general use. When people try to wash their hands, it won’t lather. If the door is open, check to see how many times they repeat the process hoping for a different result.

Would you like a cookie?

A word of warning for this prank, cookies will be sacrificed. You will need to be willing to not only dissect an Oreo, you’ll also have to discard the cream filling. If you’re game, read on. Replace the filling with toothpaste and then reconstruct the cookie. Then, invite an unsuspecting friend to join you in eating some cookies. Just be sure you take the good cookies and give the altered one to your patsy. One bite will be all that is needed to get an immediate reaction from this one.

Have a Happy April Fools’ Day, everyone! Don’t take any wooden nickels!
