The next monthly meeting of the Tree City Carvers will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 20 at 7:30 p.m. at Red Fuller Park on Middlebury Rd. in Kent.
There will be a speaker for this month’s meeting. Michael Vermeersch will give a power point presentation about his boat building techniques. Michael has a background in mechanical and aerospace engineering and has been interested in canoeing and sailing for many years.
He has built 2 redwood strip canoes, 3 kayaks, and a 19-foot sail boat. He is currently working on a 9.5m sailboat. It is expected to be a very interesting talk.
