From track, to house, to loving home. That’s what Freedom Greyhound Rescue has dedicated themselves to. This 501c3 organization has a vision of placing retired racing greyhounds into happy, caring homes, but they extend a loving welcome to all greyhounds no matter where they were obtained. They just love greyhounds – period!
There is no building, only compassionate volunteers who open their homes for foster care until these dogs find their permanent family. Without these foster homes, there would be no rescue! If you can’t foster, you can still be involved through donating one or more of the many items on their wish list. This is a super easy way to help for those who cannot add one more thing to their busy lives, yet it could make a huge difference for the rescue. One scrumptious way to learn more about Freedom Greyhound Rescue, is to attend their pancake and sausage breakfast this Sunday, June 22! Rain or shine, you will enjoy being served by some fun folks and some furry ones, too, as they will have a few of their adoptable greyhounds lounging – or perhaps running – around for you to interact with. Bring your family, bring a friend, bring your own dog! All money raised will provide transport fees for the greyhounds arriving in July. Yes – there are more to come! Support them in their efforts!
