Back in the day when I was growing up, the only thing we had to jump on was our bed mattress. Much to my mother’s dislike, we would do all kinds of cool tricks, occasionally landing in places that weren’t quite so bouncy! After a few not-so-cheerful shouts from the bottom of the stairway, we would discontinue – for a while. But it wasn’t long before we would be right back up there…little did she know at that time how hard the gymnastic bug would bite one of her little ones. Mattress jumping was only the beginning.
If there had been such a thing as The Jump Palace in our neighborhood, I’m sure Mom would have loved to just drop me off for the whole day, pick me up at 7 p.m., and put me to bed in proper position under the covers with a kiss goodnight. Oh well…
She did enroll me in gymnastic classes soon after, and since that time I have been in and around inflatables and bounce houses many times. What fun!
And now your kids have the chance to jump to their heart’s delight on surfaces created just for bouncing instead of on their mattresses – though I assume that will happen as well – just not as often. Just down the road a piece in Streetsboro, a celebration will be taking place – the Grand Opening of The Jump Palace this weekend on November 23! And you are invited!
The Jump Palace is a premier indoor inflatable facility, family owned and operated. With Small Business Saturday being on November 30 this year– this is a ‘double yay way’ to welcome and support this new local business!
Their goal is to make your next outing or party a safe, fun, and memorable one. Located in the old Giant Eagle plaza, they invite you to come on out and see what they have to offer in the way of open play hours and birthday parties.
The Grand Opening will run from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and the first 250 customers will receive a frequent jumper punch card! What is a frequent jumper punch card? After five visits, you get a free visit. Just think – you can save those free visits for the days your kids revert to their old mattress-jumping antics!

Birthday Party Packages:
Parties require a $50 nonrefundable deposit and include:
- A host or hostess for your party
- Paper products (if theme you may provide your own)
- Pizza and drinks for children (extra may be ordered. Staff requires 24 hour notice)
- Set up and clean up
- Supervised play time on inflatables by our friendly trained staff
Weekday parties for 10 begin at $119 and weekend parties begin at $169. All parties will have 80 minutes of playing time in the inflatable area and 40 minutes in the private party room for pizza, cake, and present opening. Find specific details on their website.
