A Maplewood education can be the difference in a graduate’s ability to earn a good living after graduation, just as it has for thousands of proud Maplewood alumni. Today’s job market has never been better for high school graduates with real work skills and a desire to continue learning even more. Employers seek good employees, and many employers consider Maplewood as a primary source for new hires.

Make a smart choice about the last two years in high school. Maplewood is the right choice for many students. It’s hands-on and interest-based. Maplewood is about the future, your child’s future.

Why Choose Maplewood?

Career technical education is about work, jobs, and skills, and in a job market that is dominated by technical careers, choosing Maplewood makes sense. Maplewood provides a foundation of technical skills and knowledge. Students benefit from hands-on experiences presented in work-like settings leading to real career opportunities.

Employers agree that motivated Maplewood graduates quickly become valued employees with the skills and knowledge to succeed.

Career technical graduates have always found better paying jobs than high school graduates with no additional training. Maplewood also offers some exciting options for students who want more, such as going to work and attending college or technical school at the same time, or going to school full-time.

Another advantage is to work for an employer who pays for your college. In every case, the skills learned at Maplewood prove valuable.

Maplewood Is Tuition Free!

Maplewood serves ten school districts in Portage and Summit counties. There is no tuition charge for high school students from the participating school districts. Some students will need to purchase tool kits or other special items for course work, important items they take with them after graduation. A payment plan/financial aid is available so that programs are affordable for all families.

And yes, a Maplewood education is a complete program. Cosmetology students are eligible to take the State Board licensing test and students in other Maplewood courses can take tests for certifications appropriate to their career field.

Maplewood is a real bargain!
