There are literally hundreds of quotes about moms! I know we could each add our own as well. Mother’s Day is indeed a special day and deserves a place in our busy lives. After all, where would we be without her!

It doesn’t have to be a huge expensive ordeal. I know some of my most treasured items are the notes I have received from my kids over the years along with the lunches we shared together. To show appreciation to your mom by taking time out to spend with her will speak far more than just sending a bouquet. Not that bouquets aren’t nice, but handing her a bouquet and then taking her to a favorite spot is an opportunity to create a lasting memory and enrich both of your lives.

Owner Diane Austin is a mom and grandmom. When she was a little girl, her grandmother taught her how to make award winning pies, and she is now passing the family recipe on to the 5th generation – her own four year old grand daughter. A Wistful pie is not just any ole pie! Made from scratch with the same ingredients for five generations, mother’s of all ages will appreciate such a rare homemade treat!

Not only will Mom find some award-winning pies and other incredibly rich made-from-scratch desserts, but the cafe offers a multitude of scrumptious entrees. I thoroughly enjoyed the Grilled Portabella Mushroom Sandwich when I had lunch there. They have an extensive menu you can view on their Facebook page.
