One of the most delicious trifle desserts you may ever have! A delightful friend of mine, Delores Stephens, has made a number of delicious trifle desserts, but this one by far takes the cake! Anyone who loves Twix bars is in for a real treat when more cake, caramel, and whipped topping are added to the already delicious Twix candy bar taste!
This trifle dessert is simple to prepare and perfect for any school or church function. For holidays and family gatherings, it can’t be beat – just make sure you have the recipe memorized and be ready to take that empty dish back home!
- 1 box of chocolate fudge cake mix
- 3 cups of heavy whipping cream
- 1/3 cup of sugar
- 1 cup of caramel sundae sauce (plus ¼ cup for your drizzling on top)
- 2 packages of chocolate pudding mix
- 4 regular sized Twix bars, chopped
Make your chocolate cake according to package directions. Let cool and then cut the cake into 1-2 inch cubes.
In a large bowl, whip the 3 cups of heavy whipping cream with the 1/3 cup of sugar until stiff peaks form.
In another bowl make the chocolate pudding according to package directions.
Layer pudding, cake, caramel sauce, whipped cream, chopped Twix bars (repeat) you will end with the whipped cream and chopped Twix bars.
Top off your trifle dessert with a drizzle of caramel sauce on top.
Refrigerate until ready to serve.
