The Portage Park District is working on our Comprehensive Strategic Parks Master Plan to improve our park system throughout Portage County over the next 10 years. Working with our planning consultant, Brandstetter Carroll Inc., the Master Plan will look holistically at park and program needs and opportunities across the county to consider what we and our partners already have and what is needed. We’ll also look more closely at our park properties (including over 1,000 acres of unopened parkland), to develop site plans and determine appropriate uses and facilities.
This is where YOU come in…
We are offering several ways throughout the nine-month planning period that you can stay in touch with the process and ask questions, add your ideas, give feedback on proposed plans, and participate in planning hikes and public meetings.
