Hiram Police Department held its annual Car Show fund raiser for the Shop with a Cop program and the weather was beautiful, which drew a large crowd. 65 classic and hot rod cars and trucks were on hand with the farthest having traveled from Rochester, New York. Door prizes were plentiful and trophies were given to owners in their prospective car/truck categories.

The event was a success in that $1,200 was raised for the Shop with a Cop program. The Shop with a Cop program provides Hiram/Garrettsville area children, and their families, the opportunity to enjoy the holiday season. The program is designed for less fortunate and under privileged children to go Christmas shopping, for themselves and family members, with a police officer from Hiram and Garrettsville Police Departments. The program brings about much heartfelt joy to a lot of area children and families.

Our goal is that every child gets the chance to enjoy the holiday season. The “Shop with a Cop” program is a wonderful program that Hiram and Garrettsville Police Departments intends to hold every year. We hold this program close to our hearts and it means a lot to us.

Special THANK YOU to our sponsors, Main Sponsor Kepich Ford, G’Ville Auto, Hiram Gioninos, Hiram Maggie’s Donuts, Hiram College Bookstore, Rick Patrick and Village Motors, Dick Bahnek, Carl Hornung, Kenny Yamamoto, Main Street Grill, Rolling Smoke BBQ, Hiram College, DJ Jim, and all of the volunteers that dedicated their hard work to make the event a success.

Special THANK YOU to the owners of the beautiful cars and trucks for bringing your prized possessions to wonderful Hiram and supporting our community.
